The Cook Up is a ten track, full length album by hip hop artist FAT (fka The Fatboy). Started in 2020 The Cook Up evolved from a loose and odd combination of Southern Rock meets Southern Hip Hop into a lyrically complex and sonically soulful project executive produced by riding super producer The Chef.*

Bringing poetic, silver era hip hop vibes with a surprisingly modern touch and beat selection, FAT covers a lot of ground in a short time touching on topics such as the fallacies of love ("Why Do Fools Fall in Love") when your dreams become nightmares ("Daylight"), and the excessive lifestyle that is the music industry ("Pompeii").

The Cook Up also has an attached short film trilogy which is reminiscent of a blacksploitation Mafia movie.
